This page lists the instructors that will lead the sessions and gives you some backgroun information on their experience.

Samantha Kelly

    Samantha KellySamantha Kelly has been teaching both yoga and Pilates for 3 years. She has studied with Brian Cooper and is a qualified yoga teacher at the 200 hour level. She is currently working towards her 500 hour teaching qualification with Brian and is also studying Sadhana yoga with Doug Swenson. She is a qualified Pilates Instructor and is passionate about the therapeutic use of Pilates both by itself and as a compliment to a yoga practice particularly Ashtanga. She is a devoted practitioner of both yoga and Pilates and is fully insured to teach both. She also holds a BA(Hons) in Religious Studies specialising in Indian Religions.
    Samantha runs Northumberland Yoga offering Yoga and Pilates classes and retreats in the Northumberland area.

Dan Burt

    Dan BurtDan Burt has been teaching yoga for the last 3 years. He has studied with many of the greatest 'first generation' teachers of ashtanga yoga, in particular Nancy Gilgoff - the first western woman to learn and bring back the ashtanga system to the west. Dan has specifically studied the art of adjusting having been trained extensively on this effective and classical method of teaching, and is able to guide students comfortably throughout the entire primary and second series of ashtanga yoga. As a result of this tuition, and through his own personal practice, Dan teaches with a firm sense of tradition and compassion.
